RAILS is a game changing idea based on something else I have studied for a long time... PATTERNS.

RAILS is based on the MVC ( model view controller ) pattern, and there are many more patterns that make a software project sing.

I "prefer" to use HEROKU to host / deploy / develop with as I have found no better RAILS infrastructure provider but am comfortable working with NGINX and the other things that surround RAILS.

I also work with other frameworks such as SINATRA and RAMZE when RAILS is not such a great fit.

I have been using RUBY even longer than RAILS has been around.
